THE TERRIFIC TRIO: Making a Difference in the Access Platform Industry

There are plenty of reasons why 2020 has been a year worth forgetting. COVID-19 has had a profound effect on peoples’ lives, their businesses and even their mental wellbeing. HOWEVER, John Hall, Lee Rigby and Vicki Allen will remember 2020 very differently; the year their businesses changed the field in the access platform industry!

What better way to end the year than a positive story about three individuals who have founded three successful businesses using their specialist knowledge and experience in the industry.

National Platforms

 

 

National Platforms was founded and set up by John Hall. John has over 23 years’ experience in the access industry and it was his vision to establish a new kind of access hire company that puts the customer at the centre of the business.

 

 

National Platforms work under the ethos of being able to find their customers ‘any machine, at anytime and anywhere.’

Earlier this month National Platforms celebrated their first twelve months in business. From their first ever lead on 4th November 2019 to SKYLINE HIRE LTD, to date they have successfully supplied over 400 leads to their partners. They also still have over two thirds of their original affiliated partners and continue to work with and support their customers who need to work at height.

National Telehandlers

 

 

Lee Rigby is the Founder and Managing Director of National Telehandlers and has over 30 years experience in the hire industry, working with market leaders in trench support equipment, tool & plant hire and powered access.

 

 

 

 

National Telehandlers priority is to ensure they are the problem solver of the material lift and plant hire industry, by supporting customers who need to rent or buy equipment through our network of industry expert specialist partners.

International Platforms

Despite being the most recent start-up of the three, International Platforms have had an incredible two months of trading since they were founded in October 2020.

 

 

Managing Director Vicki Allen has already enjoyed a fantastic career in the access platform industry, with over 16 years’ experience working for some of the top firms in the business including Genie, AJ Access Platforms and Mawsley Machinery.

However, she decided that it was finally time to use her specialist knowledge and experience of the access platform industry and provide new and used MEWPs to buyers across the world.

 

 

“We expect to see international demand for used equipment grow during these tough times, with sustained demand in the building, maintenance, cladding, demolition and facilities management services. International Platforms have recently celebrated their 50th machine sale and have already sold equipment all across the world, including throughout the UK, Lithuania, Spain, Holland, Belgium and Southern Ireland.
