On Friday we were thrilled to find out that our MD, Vicki Allen, is on the shortlist for an award at this year’s International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) in Berlin.
There are 13 categories in the 2023 IAPAs programme, ranging from new products and innovations to sustainability and safety. Vicki was nominated in the new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) category, inspired by IPAF’s Women in Powered Access initiative, and is one of three finalists decided by the panel of five industry experts.
The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on 20 April on the evening of the IPAF Summit in Germany.
Announcing the finalists online, one of the event organisers, IPAF, which promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide, said:
“There was another outstanding response from the industry to the 2023 awards, with more than 120 entries received.”
Euan Youdale, Editor of Access International magazine and non-voting chair of the judges’ panel, commented:
“Event organisers IPAF, KHL Group and Access International would like to thank all those who took the time to enter the awards, and to the judges for their significant efforts in considering them. Both this year and last we had really strong submissions right across the board – we look forward to revealing the ultimate winners in April in Berlin.”
Peter Douglas, CEO & Managing Director of IPAF, commented:
“For the second year running, we have had a superb set of entries across the various awards categories, and looking at the shortlist reveals what stiff competition there has been. I do not envy the judges having to select their shortlists from such a strong field!
“Like all those who have already booked their places to join us at what is already a sell-out event, I can’t wait to find out who each category winner will be and I am really looking forward to what promises to be a really special evening. It will be particularly exciting to be hosting both the IPAF Summit & IAPAs in Germany’s historic capital, Berlin; I hope we will see you there!”
